God's never done anything in-your-face awesome for me. I mean, he probably has done stuff for me, but nothing where it made me think, "Wow, thanks God!! There was no chance of that happening by itself!!" I like to think of it as an awesome thing God has done for me when I recover my hearing (I go deaf when I have a cold), my hearing is usually supernaturally good, so going deaf is horrible, and I always worry that it won't come back.

How does some one go deaf from a cold? Not that i don't believe you or enything, but How?

umm, I'm thinking that since your ears, nose, and throat are all connected, congestion could effect your ears

It's partially ear congestion. Mostly it's just because the congestion in other places disturbs the pressure levels in my entire head, which because I have sensitive ear canals stops me being able to hear properly. Like when one flies in an aeroplane and one's ears pop.
(I'm bringing back the word 'one'.)
