Yay, I love anime! and manga! My favourite has to be Fullmetal Alchemist, I just love it! I watch all my anime online, I use sites that you don't have to download on, like voeh, you can just watch stuff for free on the internet!
I find it very annoying that they show almost NO anime on TV in my country, so it's online viewing, spending tons of money on DVDs or nothing :K

The longest manga-series crowding my shelf at home would be 3x3 Eyes. Anyone know that one? It´s 40 volumes long and has an excellent storyline, cute characters and the kind of fanservice that doesn´t get on my nerves. XD Other than that, Angel Sanctuary with 20 volumes. But if you ask me, 3x3 Eyes is more interesting for it has Indian gods and goddesses. Our manga-collection is big, too. But the growth has somewhat stopped as the new mangas which are released at the moment aren´t my cup of tea at all. *is no yaoi-fan* The only series that still interests us (my sis and me) is Blade of the Immortal. Which is awesome and should be bought. XD They do show animes on telly in Germany but these are, well, horribly translated and the voice actors are not skilled at all. The only translation that I really enjoyed was Cowboy Bebop. The voice actors did a pretty good job, too. But if you have time to waste and want to listen to some dreadful voice overs go and watch the German version of Naruto. It makes me cringe. You should hear them pronouncing "ninja". Let´s just say, it´s simply horrible. XD

Reminds me of this series Flame of Recca over here. I had started collecting the manga, and it was decent, so I figured, I'll buy the anime, what the hell. This was before I knew the Japanese voice actors, so I watched it in English. Untalented is an understatement. But I think what was worse was that the American voice actors were trying to pronounce everything as the Japanese would do. So, you had this kid trying to become a "neenjah". I give them credit for trying to tie it back to Japan, but seriously...they never say "karah-okay" for karaoke. >_< That bugged me.
And shy, those are my most popular series. In total, I collect 24 ongoing series. Meaning, I don't own every book. But I also have several complete series, like I mentioned before. So, my manga collection probably spans about 35-40 series. ^_^

DUDE!!
I just totally read the latest three books of Flame of Recca. A bit much unecessary fan-service type stuff, but it's one of my favorite testosterone-action-packed manga. :3
I love american voice actors...it's so cute when they try. XD And actually, YuYu Hakusho's voice actors are almost BETTER than the japanese ones...GASP.

I think Cowboy Bebop sounds better in English than Japanese, but I'd be lynched by some of my anime-loving friends for saying it so. It's just such a westernised setting that it sounds silly in Japanese.

The English Yu Yu Hakusho is what actually started me on anime. Before that, I didn't really watch it, aside from the occassional Pokemon episode when not much else was on. And I did enjoy the voice actors, they did a decent job. But I've been rewatching the series in Japanese because Mayumi Tanaka is in it, and she is just <3. ^_^ She plays Koenma, if you're curious.
Cowboy Bebop didn't do half-bad with the voice acting either. The French was really bad though. >_< My copy of the movie has the English acting, Japanese, and French for some reason. But it is funny seeing at the beginning: Le Bebop. ^_^

haha, french and spanish dubbing for anime is a riot.
I love Yusuke's voice-actor. He has so much feeling, and you get the sense he actually understand what he's aying. Maybe I'm just a fanatic...
FMA isn't horrible in english either, but definitely better in japanese.

Well, the same company do FMA and Yu Yu Hakusho (and Fruits Basket and many others) in English. I really like that company. They're based in Texas, and I think one of the reasons they do so well is that they really like anime. In fact, both Justin Cook (Yusuke) and John Burgmeier (Kurama) actually work on translating the scripts. Justin Cook also directs sometimes. ^_^ I hated Christopher Sabat's voice in YYH (Kuwabara) but hearing him in FMA and Fruits Basket is so different, and he's got a great personality. ^_^
But, they do have their own sets of problems. Sometimes they cut too much out, sometimes they just don't do the voices as the voices are supposed to be done.
But if you're a fan of them, check out John Burgmeier's band. It's pretty good. ^_^ It's called El Gato. Oh, and I just found out he's the son of another voice actor in the company, Linda Young (Genkai). That's just creepy, lol. o_0

yay. Fruits Basket's Hatsuharu had the same voice as Yusuke, that was the only good american voice...
TEXAS!! My future-doesn't-know-it-yet-husband is from there.

I devour animé (I have watched far too many series, and the number I have watched just keeps growing.
91 Manga volumes and 90 animé dvds, and that's just the stuff I own.

Wow, your manga is close to mine. I'm like 130, 140...somewhere around there. My anime dvds are much smaller though, lol. Maybe like 30? Sounds about right.
I just got done ordering more figurines from Japan though. ^_^

Shamefully the only 'anime' I'm collecting is Avatar, which isn't even japanese anime!
I can't help it, I love it so!

That is a good show. ^_^ If I weren't addicted (see "spend all my money on") anime stuff, I'd collect it. ^_^

It's so detailed, I can't help but love it. They even have an expert do all the writing in classical chinese. What are the odds of someone who reads classical chinese even watching the show? It's amazing that they go to so much trouble even though nobody's going to notice! ;D

Also, it is my personal belief that the singlest greatest movie, television show or book of any kind is Serial Experiments Lain.
