I move this thread to General Discussions. :>
Still, there has already been a similar thread called "Favourite Anime/Manga". But the last post dates back six months... so I guess I can leave this one open.
I love Slayers. How couldn´t I?! XD It´s awesome beyond words. And insane -> I like it. I wouldn´t go so far and call myself an anime fanatic. I haven´t watched new ones in ages... which is sad but the dvds are too expensive for me and those broadcasted on telly are, well, stupid. XD
-> moved.

At the moment I'm making my way through the Love Hina anime (subbed), my other half downloaded the entire series for me from some computer geek person. Chobits is probably the only other anime I watch now, but I got that as a box set anyway.
I have zilch idea of what the latest animes are...

I love The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, that's been really popular recently. I also love Ghost Hunt (I collect the manga and I've seen the anime fansubbed) and I really want to see Ouran high School Host Club, my frind has all the episodes but I don't get to go round her house very often...

I know, I've seen one episode and it was completely supernatural, but we only had time to watch one and I haven't been round her house since >_<

I saw fruits Basket recently, it was cute.
If Itachi>Sasuke was supposed to mean uchihacest then woot!! If it merely meant Itachi is greater than Sasuke than WOOT!!
Anyway...yeah,,,,

Supposedly yes, but my dad has a bunch of things on the computer that stop me downloading most things because he's paranoid, so I can't find a good-quality version anywhere so far.

Why don't you ring your friend and ask her where she got hers?

Noooo, no otaku folks anywhere in here...
I usually try not to describe myself as "otaku" but most of my friends consider me to be one. My manga collection is very close to hitting 200 (I'll probably get that many by the end of this year), but my anime collection is sadly, lacking. When I first got into anime, I bought the dvds for my favorite series (Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho) but now, I import my dvds from Japan because I actually know most of the seiyuus. You give me an anime, I can usually point out at least one person I know from other anime. ^_^ And then, I also collect the anime from certain seiyuu, like Tanaka Mayumi (Monkey D. Luffy is probably her most popular character).
I also import Japanese games. I own 2 PS2s...one for my American games, and 1 I paid to get from Japan. I also have a Japanese DVD player to watch the anime and movies I get. But after buying all these imports, I ran out of money, so I haven't bought anything new in some time.
Oh, and I know that most anime in the states have the original Japanese included on them, but I buy overseas for different reasons: I like to get the more obscure (to the states) anime, just a thing of mine. So I usually get the stuff that's not been shipped to America yet. But I'm familiar with most of the anime that's over here too. ^_^

Tragically she downloaded them, and I tried but my computer won't do it because of the blocking-thing. *sob*
Wow, Zemira's manga collection makes mine seem weeny!

Tee hee, I'm very very proud of it. ^_^ Of course, when you think about it, it's not that many series, just a lot of books. After all, I have the entire Ranma series (37 books), most of the InuYasha series (I lost track of where I am in that, but I think I have up to #25...), Love Hina at 14 books, Negima! also currently at 14 books. Uh...Fushigi Yuugi, xxxHolic, Tsubasa, oh, the entire Rurouni Kenshin series (27 books in that, I believe), and a few others that aren't as large: Chobits, Othello, Imadoki, .Hack (only one series), and yeah, a few stand-alone mangas. ^_^ So, really, it's just the big series that put the number so high. Also, I've been collecting for almost 6 years now. That's not really that much if you think about it that way. But if you think about it in terms of money... Say, $10.00 (American, obviously) per manga. At 100 manga, that's already $1,000 over a 6-year period. But actually, now that I think about it, I'm more proud of my growing figure display. That's much smaller than the manga collection, mostly because I don't collect them as rabidly because they cost more. But I have extremely rare (in America) figure from Sakura Taisen, a few Yu Yu Hakusho figures, Chobits figures, Negima! figures, Clamp figures, and other merchandise: t-shirts, armbands, necklaces, cds, all that fun stuff. Can you tell I'm quite proud of my collection? :-D

Haha, yes I can! I see I have about as many series as you, but the longest one by far is Fruits Basket with 16 volumes. I am collecting Inuyasha, but I'm a bit OCD about always getting them in precicely the right order and I can't find the next one anywhere, but I can find the one after that. My friends keep telling me to buy it anyway, but I cant!
