Wow, I had never officially heard "pernickety" before, but I knew "persnickety". And lo and behold, they're the same word! Never knew it had an alternate spelling. Perhaps another spelling difference between America and the UK? Anyways. Tell Scholastic to hold a contest for fans to do the art for Pandemonium. Maliris and Shy can work together to make it. ^_^ It'd be even more awesome then.

I don't think 'persnickety' is a real word in english, my dictionary doesn't even list it as a corrupted spelling.

My computer doesn't list the word as wrongly spelled - it does, however, insist pernickety is.
I suppose pernickety is the English version of American persnickety. Curse my non-English spell-check!
Haha, I would so buy Pandemonium if the art were done by Maliris and Shy. Yes yes.

I just used the online dictionary, and it listed both words as the same. Persnickety is a word for my spell check, while pernickety is not. I suppose it's just the different countries.

Sorry, when I said English I meant British English. I always distinguish between that and American English but I forgot to clarify. Sorry for the confusion. What I was getting at was that it's a real word in America but not in England. Did you know that so many words are different between the two that in some places in Germany they call them 'Englisch' and 'Americanisch'?

"Discombobulated" is the best word ever.

My favourite word in the entire world is the japanese word そうあい (souai), which means 'mutual love'. Can you think of a more beautiful word?
Edit: Written in hiragana, because I don't know if there is a kanji spelling...

Wow, we're so off-topic now. But one of my favorite words is "fruition" because no one ever uses it.

[Off topic: there's an update on Chris' site and he used the word 'pernickety'!] In Malice, there's a small Star Wars-joke. When Kady and Seth wonder what's wrong with Luke there's talk about how he's been talking about a girl ratheroften lately. Her name is Leia. It was a sort of face/palm-moment for me. (though any Star Wars-reference is good so I don't complain.) About Miss Benjamin: What manner of thing is she? Any ideas?

AHAHAHA!! I never noticed that!! Luke and Leia! Oh my...
One thing I found cool was that Kady apparently owns at Counter-strike. I bet she's one of those elite players who kick my arse all the time...

Heh, Counter Strike. xDD Which reminds me... anyone else distrusted Kady's cousin in San Fran? I constantly expected her to be some evil hechman or something. The truth was far more shocking, though.

I didn't really expect anything from Kady's cousin. I was too busy laughing and wondering if Chris based those chat excerpts from us slightly. But Miss Benjamin...she's interesting. Very very intriguing. I can't wait to find out more about her...
