Favourite weaver? That's an interesting question. I liked the one who skinned people just because by then I didn't think my fragile psyche could handle any more descriptions of child rape, skinning them alive seemed guite tame after that.
Also it sparked my theory that Chris just likes the word 'subcutaneous'.

There weren't any descriptions of child rape, it was all implied and 'off-screen'. I might be a sick little bunny but even I couldn't handle writing a scene like that...

Sorry!! I realised just after I posted it that it hadn't come out quite right. Still, even implied and off-screen it's pretty horrible and traumatic. I didn't mean to make it sound like you'd actually described it in detail, sorry! *deep bow* forgive me!

S'okay, just clearing it up. Besides, I'm a big believer in the 'what you don't see is more effective than what you do' school of thought. Except in the case of Kakre's cutting that guy's face off, but then I was just funnin' around ;D

That's very true, especially for those of us with over-active (and uncontrollable) imaginations. I think it would have been less horrible to read if you had described it in detail because it closes off any other horrible possibilities in favour of just one. Wow, you're good! Instead of decribing it in horrific detail, you leave the reader to supply their own explaination, and generally people will assume the worst thing they can think of which will be different for each person. That's so clever!! *worships*

My favorites are Tane, Reki, Tsata, and Kaiku. And Lucia's ravens. *imagines self walking around with a huge hoard of ravens* Heh heh heh heh...
I once had an RPG character named Reki (only it was a girl).

Man, I'd love to have my own personal horde of ravens...

Me too, but then my cat wouldn't be very happy.

Or your cat would be very very happy...if it eats birds, at least.

oooh, so you might think, but any cat that tried to eat a raven, especially one that had a lot of other ravens with it, would definitely come off worse. Ravens are very strong for their size and are one of the most intelligent animals on the planet.

Yeah, but that wouldn't have stopped my cat. He hunted a bunny that was bigger than him once. It was actually really funny. He also hunts hawks that circle around our house. Our house is built by these woods, and we have lots of wildlife. And my cat loves to hunt it all. From the safety of the inside of our house, of course. ^_^

Haha, yeah, I know lots of cats like that. They hunt sparrowhawks, but only through the window.

My cat is rather small. She's already been chased by a blackbird, and is terrified of magpies and wood pigeons. I can't imagine she'd like whole horde of ravens hanging around.
She doesn't eat birds anyway. She catches them and pulls their feathers out, then plays about with them until she's bored.

that's like my female cat does with bugs. She'll attack them until she has control, then bite off wings/legs/other assorted body parts, then spits the part out and leaves the bug for dead. I've found tons of crickets with their legs pulled off, just lying on the floor trying to move. And the legs will be like halfway across the room. It'd be sad if I didn't have bugs as much.

Poor bugs! That's the kind of thing that would probably make me cry, just 'cause the poor thing wuld be in so much pain! The cats where I live do at least tend to kill whatever they're hunting instead of just playing with it, otherwise I doubt I'd like them nearly as much.
