Tcha, kid on the barge. It had this page-long description of his cuteness and then he got thrown in with the weaver they were carrying. Waaahaaahaa!!

Yeah, now that I think about it is really sad. When I read that chapter I was more on the Weaver's side. Post-weaving stuff was one of my favorite parts of the trilogy. *feels guilty*

The kid on the barge was def one of the worst moments in the book for me. It was very twisted, and makes me shiver. My fav character has to be the queen of kick ass beeatches, Asara. I wish she was the main protagonist but that would be having my cake and eating it too. I love characters who have very selfish and ultimatly very human motives. ghosteggplant don't feel guilty The post weavings were interesting, scary and creepy. It allowed and was responsible for some of the best scenes in the trilogy, like the cat and mouse game between Vyrrch and the little girl.

I never really liked any of the the Weavers' characters. When ever they were talking to someone I was really annoyed with them and whoever they were talking to. But put into action they were the best part of the book. *imagines Mos exploding*

I really like the characters Mishani, Asara, Laranya and Reki. Well I like everyone (with the exception of the weavers, Duran, possibly Zaelis and very minutely the Tkurathi (I know I've spelled that wrong), because dammit, why do they have to be better then the Saramyrians (spelling..?) at everything? Fighting and morally? Maybe I'm a bit to loyal to Saramyr, but still).

I vote for Asara due to her complexity as a character. I found her enthralling and as complicated as a real life human. Lucia and Kaiku were a close second. Kaiku cause shes stubborn and awesome, Lucia because although she is delicate she is also...remarkably human. I find human elements can be lost in the writeing...but Lucias thought process, her feelings of responsibility and humbleness made me connect with her

I probs shouldn't have come on this thread yet, since i still haven't finished even the first book. I got them all ages ago, but in completely the wrong order. And then, when i started reading, my inital fave character (Asara) appears to die! I know now she comes back, but in those first few chapters, she grabbed me, and then she was gone... yeah, i'm easily put off ^-^' But i'm trying to soldier on now that i know she survives... and i can't help supporting my inital thought of her and Kaiku being a good pairing ^//^ I realise by the sounds of what everyone else is saying, that's not going to work later, but i'm sticking to it, at least for now

I voted for Tsata because I can jsut imagine him as a real, really cool person. I also imagine him as very attractive. Same with Ezrel (?) Am I the only one who develops slight crushes on fictional characters?

No, you are nowhere near the only one who develops slight crushes on fictional characters. You're in excellent company for that here.

I'm not particularly fond of Tsata, probably only because I'd feel slighted every time he works out to be on the moral upper ground.
But he's cool, have to give him that.
Crushes on fiction characters? hu hu hu, you wouldn't begin to imagine...
