So I just noticed that there is no discussion on books four five and six. Why? Does no one like them? Ha-ha. Do they not include the tying together of Macaan's plan for the Resonants? Or am I wrong? Man I might be wrong! If I am please tell me and i will shut up! Rob

Book six is my favorite, too! =D I wish my friend would hurry up and read them all, but she's only read book 1(and that was half-a-year ago. <.< )
Tama: Yay! Another Ryushi/Aurin fan! =D (Thought I was along there. <.< ) lol

BOOOO!!!! NO RYUSHI/AURIN!!!
Anyway, these were very good parts, but aside from the discovering of Takami, it was less my favorite than the other two trilogies. But it is all SO AWESOME

I do have a special "relation" to book 6. At the time when I read BSky I often used to say: "A few Broken Sky-books still elude us.", linking the whole thing to the second book which had this sentence printed on the cover. Because for a very, and I mean very, long time I couldn´t find part 6 anywhere. I had all other books. Save for part 6. And this totally sucked, pardon my manners. So, when I finally held it in my hands it was, like, a magic moment. I like part 6 because all of a sudden all the bits and parts and characters we had learned to like either died or were blown up. It was a turning point. What with the death of a certain person...
And it was a wicked end for the "second trilogy".

I found the second trilogy to be quite depressing, but I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be. It was like the second one was after the disaster at the big battle they were all trapped and everything was going horribly, and even at the end it was quite crap for everyone because how many people were dead or presumed dead? Anyway it was dark and depressing and 'orrible (but also great) and then in the last trilogy everything perks up again. That's why book 7 has got to be one of my favourites.
I can never decide if I like book 4 or 6 better out of the second trilogy. I love the way they introduce the new characters etc in book 4, but I'm also oddly touched by the blind faith the Keriags turn out to have, y'know? It's so sweet the way they just trust the Koth Taraan without question.

So I'm not the only who 'awwww'ed at a hive mind?
Phew.
Keirags are so cool. And sweet.
And I'm arachnophobic!

I loved the Keriags They are cute.... if you ignore the fact that there use of their gaer bolgas could turn concrete in to a smoothie *Spoiler* Did any one else hate the relationship, or potential for relationship between Ry and Aurin? To me it kind of felt tacked on....

I prefer act 2 to either of the others. It's the most depressing of the three acts, but act one takes ages to get anywhere and act three kind of collaspes into itself.
And I liked the relationship between Ryushi and Aurin though it could be seen from a mile away. It's better than Ryushi and Calica any day (mainly cause I don't like her), but Li'ain and Whist are better than them.

I thought the Ryushi/Aurin thing made perfect sense, he was the first pretty person in her life who'd ever stood up to her or disagreed with her, that would intrigue any spoiled girl.

To me the Ry, Aurin thing was a cliché. I would have maybe accepted it if it didn’t seem so rushed. Yes he had to get the necklace, but Aurin is an intelligent person, you don’t just suddenly make yourself vulnerable to your enemy. Particularly one that if got his way would end up in your murder by a mob. She also got off very easily; I mean she is responsible for mass murder and enslavement of a species. Yes she was brought up to rule like that, but she was an adult at the time of the book, she was her own person and thus responsible for her own actions. That’s my second biggest gripe with the series. Li'ain and Whist were in a relationship? Noooooooo. whist is mine Seriously though, I though that they were just cooperating togther, I didn't think that they were going out, or am I just very dense? *Maybe a spoiler* It has been ages since I have read the books so forgive me if I’m mistaken. The thing that really annoyed me was that democracy came way too easily and people were greatly embracing there “freedom”. And the fact that it was total democracy as well. Democracy takes time, not every one wants it. At the end of the First World War, German was given the most advanced democracy in Europe, for a people who never had it before nor were they prepared for it. They didn’t want it, they would much rather had a strong leader, which is one big factor why people embraced Hitler. If you go back to Europe in the 30’s the only country that did not have problems (I mean look at France, you know your country is in trouble when it can’t hold a government for more than 10 months and France had a long natural history of democracy) with democracy was Britain, the country that had a history of progressive, democracy.
