yes, I agree... Although I haven't actually read the series yet, it would be interesting to see people playing the parts. It's always kind've cool to see other people's interpretations of the characters in movies.

I wouldn't mind seeing people play the human characters, but think how much CGI you'd need for something like Broken Sky, you'd need one mega budget and a VERY dedicated team of animators to even have it look acceptable. Think, in the first act alone you need Jachyra, wyverns, golems, keriags, snappers, the thing in the pit, the Ley Warren and its contents and who knows what else? It simply couldn't be done in live action (imo). The creatures move too fast for puppets, and stop-motion is too jerky for something like a snapper.

So true, so true. Although we nowadays have the means to fool the audience´s eye with breathtaking CGI, this is only the case if you invest loads of money. Otherwise you get those movies where you can see either strings or the place the blue-screen used to be. Plan 9 from Outer Space... D:
And BSky´s always been somewhat anime-ish. I stick to this idea.
(If I remember correctly, and it´s been years since I somewhere heard it, some spaceship in Star Wars that flies past the camera was nothing more than an accelerated shoe. Which, of course, you cannot see as it moves too fast. Talking about low budget...)

Personally it would have to be an anime movie. Maybe three ... one for each Act. I can understand why you might wanna cut Os Dakar, but I think that's too important for understanding the Keriags, evolving Kia's character through Ty and getting the earring for Calica to see Macaan's plan.
If Studio Ghibli picked it up I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven ... <3

I dunno, Studio Ghibli, amazing as they may be, have a tendancy to radicaly change the plotlines of whaever they're making into a film. I mean, if you read things like Howl's Moving Castle and look at the original version of Whisper of the Heart the endings are so different from the original. I wouldn't want to take that chance with Broken Sky.
