i'm guessing that beginning with a hello is an appropriate start. not only am i new to this site but i'm also new to forums altogether, so you've got yourself a complete and genuine new person. my name is hannah, i tend to like big chunks of text which is probably less enjoyable to read so i'm sorry : ) my experiences of chris wooding are just the braided path, which i adore and which came into my life accidentally, when i picked it up from a shelf in my library (it was classed as teenage which i think is incorrect) just because it had a mask on the front. i like masks a lot, so without the mask i'd be braided path-less. via this less than exciting anecdote i've shared an interest too : )
i'm not going to ramble on, i'll quickly type some hannah things and finish. im like history and am studying ancient history at the university of manchester. i love it. i like to read (as is evident from the fact that i'm on this site, haha) and learn about peoples' lives from the past, whether it be history based or not. i love old churches and museums and books and clocks and dolls and stuff. i like black and white photographs and antique shops, even if i don't like anything for sale. my film collection is varied, including lots of foreign films and stuff like mirrormask and dark crystal. my mind has gone a bit blank, just as well, as i have rambled...

Hello there! I am studying Fine Art, but I share your love of history, old churches, books, antiques and the Dark Crystal. I had to bring it with me to university, I couldn't leave it behind.

Hello, Hannah! Welcome to our humble forum! If I may say so, I think this is a good forum for a first-timer. We're all fairly friendly and we can have some fun times. So, enjoy your stay and read more Chris Wooding books. ^_^

As something of a latecomer back when there seemed to be fewer new people arriving, I can confirm that everyone is extremely friendly.

Don't worry, most of us don't know each others' real names. We call each other by our user names, like shyviolet, Maliris, and Aryeec. ^_^ Although occassionaly, if we get lazy we'll use nicknames like shy for shyviolet.

Aside from myself and Lisa I don't think we shorten anyone's username, all the others are quite short and easy to type anyway.
I'm at the University of Gloucestershire, in Cheltenham. As far as I know Fine Art is anything that isn't commercial art. If it's not illustration, graphics or something similar it gets lumped under fine art. I'm doing painting and drawing though, there's also photography, textiles and 3D design I think.
