21.43, 3 Guests. You seem very hyper! I hope the sad feelings go away and leave the happier ones behind. How did the exam disappear? I wish mine disappeared like that, haha. I finished on Wednesday and it was the best feeling. Went to TGI Fridays with my friends and got a big cocktail. And by "big" I mean you could have gone swimming in it. Not being a big drinker, it took me two hours (and a friend helping by taking a few mouthfuls) to finish it. Had a lovely time. I'm going to Menorca on Monday with my mam and sister (my dad has to work but he and my mam will be going away together later in the year). I've been shopping 'til I drop for the last week to make sure I have enough holiday clothes. Excited!

The exam happened, but there was no email about it and it wasn't on blackboard (I hate that software so much) so I missed it I'll have to do it when they do the retakes I guess. And that sounds like one epic cocktail.

21.14, 2 Guests. Urgh, that sucks. We get given an email with a link to our exam timetable months in advance and get told to keep checking it near the actual dates, so we don't get problems like that. Do they cap your marks in the retake? If we resit an exam, we can only get a maximum of 40. Also, photo of the Giant Cocktail of Doom: It was yummy. ;D

5:58pm, four guests Congrats on finishing your exams Becca, and hope all goes well with yours Raihor - feel better soon! Speaking of school, I'm returning to Arabic school at the end of next month, can't wait, though because of my job change I have to go to another school... which means I'm re-sitting the same eight week course I did last year. I could sit the entry exam into the second course (I've already seen the exam and am fairly certain I could pass it with some quick revision, basic oral and written exam), but even if I do that I'm too nervous I'll be behind in the coursework with a new teacher and school... so redoing the first course again and using it as a refresher. Also seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with my fanfiction... 48 chapters of most likely 60 completed. So exhausting! I think I've either gained an accent in the last month or everyone I've met lately have never heard an English accent, but I keep being asked where I am from in the UK... just about every day. My husband gets asked where he's from in the Middle East a lot based on his appearence (which he isn't) but I've gone from never getting this question to every day... That looks like an awesome cocktail! Going out for mexican food tonight with friends whom I'm sure will be drinking massive cocktails... am a wine girl myself

21.18, 2 Guests.
Thanks!
Hope your Arabic course goes well! I wish I could learn another language. We have a centre set up where you can go and learn languages by yourself at uni but I never have the time to go and use it...
That is one huge fanfiction! No the wonder you're exhausted.
I think you should just pretend you're English next time. Make up a whole story about your life "back home" and see what happens. The last few times we've been on holiday, we've been mistaken for being Scottish by Londoners. The second time it happened, I felt like saying "England does exist outside of London, you know..."

10:38am, three guests.
I wouldn't use the centre either... I find it way too hard to try and learn it on my own.
I'm also incredibly slack with updates on the fanfiction though... it took 3 months to do 29 chapters... then a year and a half for the next 19.

21.29, 0 Guests. Just returned from holiday in the early hours of yesterday morning. It was lovely, if a little too hot at times. I thought I'd tanned a lot considering the blinding white watch mark standing out on my arm, but everyone is accusing me of still being very white. :/ Lots of Irish, Scottish and northern English people there, which made a nice change. No-one there who would mistake us for being Scottish.

2:57pm, four guests.
Welcome back Becca! I tend to miss the whole tanning part and go straight to red...
Looking forward to my beach holiday in January - two weeks of lying on the beach and doing very little else.
I'm trying to fight the urge to drop my fanfiction onto a USB stick and take it into work with me... most days at work are spent in boredom, so I could probably write all the remaining chapters in a week... could just flick between screens when someone wanders in, considering I have an office... I really haven't got many good ideas to stop me doing it, sigh.

20.34, 1 Guest. Beach holiday sounds fun. Relaxing is a the best way to spend a holiday. As for the whole fanfiction thing, why not? Most people spend their time at work on Facebook anyway. At least you'll be doing something constructive. I've just ate a whole tray of Cadbury's Chocolate Fingers by myself. Oops.

Most people spend their time at work on Facebook anyway. *shifty look* I'll probably start the fanfiction there when I remember to stick it on my USB stick... then I have to remember to take it to work (this is a lot harder than it sounds). Haha nothing wrong with eating so much chocolate in one go!

20.35, 2 Guests. Haha, see. So fanfiction writing will be more constructive. I need a magic spell to make my hair grow faster. It's in that in-betweeny stage where I can't do anything with it and it doesn't really have much of a style. Gah.

8:43am, two guests. Oh anything is more constructive than staring at a blank wall out of boredom, which I've done. That said, I wouldn't give up this job for anything - less work and less hours for more pay (to be fair, I actually DO work, but there's so much free time around the bits of work I forget I've done it). Only thing I don't like about work is a nasty piece of a doctor who tells me that my clothes make me look fat, tries to tell me off for wearing skirts and watches everything I eat... I've no idea if you've got this in the UK, but I use Sunsilk's Longer and Stronger shampoo and conditioner - it's supposed to encourage your hair to grow longer more quickly. I think it somewhat works, but I remember having the in-betweeny stage for a year and it wasn't fun

20.47, 1 Guest. Wow, that doctor is awful! He clearly has issues. The rest of your job sounds really good, so I hope you don't let him spoil it for you. Just smile at him until he goes away or reply to his comments with completely random statements and confuse him. We definitely have Sunsilk in the UK so I'll keep an eye out for that, thanks. Edit: It's not showing up that I've posted for some reason. Weird.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm trying to see if I can fix this glitch that says lisa is still the last one to have posted.
Edit: It worked! Huzzah!

9:50pm, two guests Doctor's a she... still a pain but I only have to put up with her for two more days (she only works one day a week and in two weeks I'm not at the clinic anymore). My boss suggested for me to wear a mini skirt and singlet top to work to really tick her off, but I'd rather not actually freeze... Finally managed to enrol back into school Not entirely sure how to waste the two and a half hours between work and school, considering I can almost see school from my workplace... and unfortunately both are just too far away from home to make going there worth it.
