Thanks Aryeec!
Easter is over here, was a surprisingly sunny day involving mini golf. Today it's crappy weather and I think my washing is all wet and I have a cold. Ah well!
Seven days off work (including three days public holidays) seems to drag to the point of boredom when I hardly do anything!

It's done here now as well. It was such a wonderful day spent with some of the most God-centered people I know.... now on to the last 3 days of regular classes this semester! I know that feeling LJ. Two days is too much sometimes. :S Are you liking the people you work with? Any major newbie screw-ups? (I had my more than fair share when I first started mine )

20.15, 2 Guests. Glad you had a nice Easter! I spent the weekend visiting relatives who live in a gorgeous little village that's only about 70 miles from us but feels like a whole new world. We had an amazing time and ate way too much food in celebration of my dad's 50th birthday yesterday.

Two days off is never enough with full time work! I wouldn't mind seven days off but it gets a bit dull when I have no real desire to leave my house and the husband's away camping the whole time. Just me and the cat...
Don't start the new job until the 23rd May... I've got fifteen long days of suffering in my current job to go.

Yeah, it's called Long Marton. It's so lovely. We had a slow walk all the way around it on Sunday morning and it only took half an hour - and that was including stopping to talk to people!

Hey guys! Congrats on the new job, LJ. What is an Audiology clinic anyway?
I really need to get my arse in gear... I've got several courseworks due in next week (or the week after) with very little work done on any of them D: And I haven't worked on any writing in a while. Oh well, I guess I've just had a lot on my mind and have been trying to hide in escapism... That said I met some nice people and generally feel quite secure at the moment, even if keeping secrets sucks.
Speaking of, I don't have anything to hide from you lovely people so I may as well just say exactly what has been on my mind: Gender identity issues. Very hard to deal with, because there's a LOT of ignorance and bigotry out there, and you never know how a person will react if you tell them that old cliche about being a girl stuck in a guy's body or whatever... But funnily enough that old cliche IS the best way to describe it, and it's what I've been stuck dealing with the past few months. Still, it ought not be a massive problem. It won't be easy, but I'll get through and come out of this a much happier person, as a girl. I hope. I haven't even been diagnosed with anything yet (which is why I have to see the doctor). But I've got it all worked out, and I'm flexible.
Sorry if I'm rambling or not making any sense. I'll explain anything confusing to anyone who gets confused, if they want...
Frankly I'm a much happier individual now, because it explains SO MUCH about me. I only hesitated to write about it on this site because I've not told any girls yet, aside from my mother i suppose, and don't know how they'd react >_>
I'll just go hide in a corner until somebody lets me know it's ok to come out now...

21.58, 1 Guest. Hey, get out of that corner! I must admit I was worrying a bit when you mentioned "doctors" last time you were here, so I'm very glad it's nothing bad like I thought! It's good to hear that you're feeling better from starting to get everything sorted. You really shouldn't worry about what anyone else might think. This is your life and you deserve to be happy.

What is an Audiology clinic anyway? Audiology is hearing - the clinics do hearing tests, diagnose hearing problems (mostly deafness), and organise, teach on how to use and fix hearing aids. Glad to hear you're feeling better Raihor. If it helps, a male friend of mine has come out and said he feels happier as a female. Neither me or any of our friends mind this - if he wants to be a female and believes he will be happier as result, then good for him. What does frustrate us about it is that he acts like no one cares and goes into these depressive rants about how the world is against him because of it - we'd like to be supportive about it but it's hard to when he's so negative about it himself. Quiet day here - not well due to my sinuses playing up again, so resting on the couch and using the brand new dryer that the husband brought the other day; used to visiting a laundromat so feels very strange! I've also discovered that I can continue with Arabic school with my new job, it's just the matter of changing schools and re-doing the first course, so quite excited about that. One guest, 2:54pm

*gets out of that corner*
I guess I'm overly cautious ^^
To be honest though, lisajane, I can't blame that guy too much for feeling negative about himself. And there IS a lot of people who would be against people like us. But that said, it's REALLY dumb to just ignore people who are trying to be helpful and supportive. I know other people in my position and some of them just refuse to accept compliments or support and that's really annoying to me...
'nuff about me though.

That's what my friend seems to be like - we try to be supportive and helpful, we get shoved away, then he complains that no one is helping him. Make sure you stay out of your corner here! 9:03pm, two guests
