...Roleplayer? *waves frantically* After my exams would you be interested in RPing with me? I'm not bad, I promise! [edit] Mm... I'll have to stalk your RPing Forum for a while... but out of curiousity, do you do one on one RPs? Because I don't really understand those RP-Specific-Massively-Large Forums XD

You could play in the roleplay here... or what there was of one before the person wanting to do it stopped playing.

Ahh, I know there was something I'd forgotten about; I haven't posted anything in the roleplay yet! *blushes*
I was kind of lurking a bit just to get an idea of what to do.

I'll get back to it if others want to play, my character doesn't like talking to herself.

Oh, so thats you, Luma. Well now my question is answered ^_^. I'll PM the answers to all your questions on the ET site. Also, THERES A ROLEPLAY HERE?!?! PWNage!! I can joinz nao p|0x?
____
Luma, I mine as well try to explain a "RP-Specific-Massively-Large Forum" thingyyy... Well, basically things start out with my characters preparing themselves at the Legend of Lore Inn before leaving Motrode City to head towards the Senth Fissure (You'll understand when I start the roleplay with the introduction), thus what happens is players have a large opportunity to introduce themselves into the roleplay, and then join the "party" where we begin our adventure. Everyone interacts with each other as they travel to their current destination. But, err, yeah. Understand? If not, I'll have to try and give an example.
As for one on one roleplays, that would be a... no. At least, I have never tried one, thus there most likely won't be one on the ET forums, or at least not directly. Perhaps you could teach me for the future ^_^.
Now that I think about it, there is a kind of one on one thing, but nothing big. You see, soon enough all be adding a sort of Mini-Games Category which will contain forums for seperate mini-games. The first and only mini-game that will exist for awhile will be called the Motrode Coliseum, and basically, its just somewhere where people can battle each other for fun outside of the plot. It would affect the true roleplay in no way, its just basically two people can decide to battle each other and make a topic where they will do so, undisturbed by others, unless in the case you wish to do a 1 VS 1 VS 1 or a 2 VS 2, or any other possible type of battle, though a 5 VS 5 would be a bit over crowded.
Anyway, I hope I answered your questions, and if you got anymore just HIT MEH!

I've done 1 on 1 RPing, and I've done...Multiple people with multiple characters. But never a really big RP with tons of other people. Not sure if I'd be interested, but I might. I'm open to any RP experience, lol.

Well so far there are only like 16 members on the board, and I realize it may get overcrowded, confusing, or what not, but I have tried before and also proved successful. But only time can tell, and I would never give up on my precious baby *Cradles Eternal Tears in my arms* Goo goo, gaa gaa, whose the cute baby? You are! Yes you are!

Tarog, thanks for the direction XD *heads over there now* [heart] Zem, yeah same. The most I've ever done in an RP was with Eight people. None of us were doubling except the Board Mistress who was err... using Eight Characters o-o Except, it was more like Eight One-on-Ones in the same board, really. I mean yeah, all the characters that weren't Hers interacted occasionally, but mostly it was one of her characters with one of ours. It was fun I'm kind of... avoiding board RPs at the moment. It's filled with either too much stuck-up elitism, or just people who... I don't think would suit my RPing style. So therefore I have retreated to One-on-Ones, although I so do love Board RPs. It's just that the right people are lacking =C Kori, ...Battles? XD As in, we get to BATTLE another person's character? I never understood how that worked. I mean, generally people don't like the idea of their character being hit and every second line would consist of 'He dodged' or 'She was hit, but her awesome healing powers immediately took effect and she didn't feel the pain'. Or it could be something, 'He pulled his powers together. He was hit, but it was time to pull out a serious kamikaze attack and end this'. Hawr. Hmm... I'm still drawing up Eriss's Sheet. We'll see how we go

Yeah, I looked at the Eternal Tears to join, but I know I'm not that good. I luve to RP, and make characters, but I like my characters to lead uneventful childhoods up to the present time, so my biographies are always short. I hate how everyone has the "______'s mother was raped, and then died while giving birth so ______ grew up alone on the streets, abused by the villian of the week." and so on. >_< Can't RP characters ever lead a happy life? Siiigh. My D&D DM hates that I never do emotional/dramatic back stories because then my characters can't really meet someone from their past and go on this quest to build their character. But oh well. ^_^ They're my characters, and I say they lived a happy life!

When it comes to character histories people are far to generic. I, however, try to add variety, some living happy lives and simply leaving home for something more, and even the occasional street orphan who finds someone who treats him like a son. And I am certain your decent; you'd have to be if you read Chris Wooding books. The awesomeness just gets imbedded in your head, you know?
Anyway, Luma, as for the battles thing yes its a character versus a character. You aren't allowed to auto hit or anything, but rather set them up. The only real rule would to be fair, and not dodge every attack or make impossible-to-dodge-blows common, but rather to even things out and set yourself up whether its using a stream of attacks to lead someone into a corner, or dodging slash after slash, eventually tiring your opponent out to the point where the body slows. It is understandable when one has good stamina and is mention in their BIO, but everyone has a weekness. Thats why its good to read their BIO before the fight. ^_^.
Idk how to better explain it, but I believe that at home I have an example. I'm at school right now, so yeah. If I don't, I can simply type one up. It isn't to hard. I just typed it up as if my two main characters, Argo and Leon, were fighting in the Motrode Coliseum. Argo of course won; Leon is big and strong, but Argo is swift and balanced, so with a few dodges and quick blows he managed to take him down, despite Leon's amazing skill with Earth Magic. Dang him and his giant stone barriers >>.
Oh, and Zemira. Another fellow who's registered name Andronius also told me how he prefers to have his history short to reveal more, so I told him as long as he broke the barrier with descriptions for the other information, than it'd be all good. And of course he was accepted. See, let my show you the BIO sheet.
