So, you guys know I have a thing for a) Kirins b) characters who are cheerful c) redheads and Peliqua, right? So I finally installed my copy of Photoshop, and to celebrate I decided to colour some lines I had sitting on the computer. The problem is that my sense of colour is taking a holiday, and so... Any suggestions are welcome. Is it all too much? Should I desaturate the rugs? What's up with the stone bench? Please help me. D:

I don't quite understand what your asking... but for the background color, use the eye drop, pick up the color from her hair and use that as the background... i tried it on my computer to see what it would look like and it works.

Nah, I have where I want lighting worked out, but the base colours for the main focal point - do they work?

I think that for the colours of the clothes that Peliqua's wearing, they should be brighter colours. Her clothes at the moment at varying at grey, and they don't look very clear.

Mhmm.
That's fine.
I'll up the colour on that, and drop the colour on the bench and rugs, then.

Shading/highlighting could really add something to this. When learning colouring myself (albeit only to a basic level), I pretty much just used this tutorial. A couple of others I found on devart filled in the gaps, but using this tutorial as a base and experimenting from there let me come to grips with shading/highlighting/all-that-jazz to some degree.

This is honestly just base colours. xDD
I've been colouring digitally for almost three years.
I just haven't used Photoshop for a month or so, and barely used it at that.
I haven't had a working copy at home for about 6 months, and I've been mainly drawing in pencil, so my colour senses are off.

Definitely some brighter clothes; Peliqua always struck me as wanting the cheeriest colors possible xD Otherwise is looking good!

Personally, I would change the white on the bench to an almost white grey and brighten the colors of the clothes by only a couple notches. That's what I'd do.
