*manifests in a cloud of Marmite-scented smoke* Hi everyone, This is Chris Wooding. Thought I'd stick my head in and introduce myself 'n' stuff. Large appreciation to Maliris for setting up this board and for everyone who's been posting on it, and everyone who, um, buys my books! Or even better, buys them and likes them! Hopefully a few more people will navigate here off my site and with any luck soon we'll have flamewars agogo

Oh, wow! Welcome! When Maliris told me (She had to phone me because I'm hardly ever online any more. University eats my time.) I actually squeeeee-ed at her. This is really great! Getting to ask you (annoying) questions~ And I guess this place will become a bit more lively~

It's just incredible that you're here.

If you look through the pages, I make several refernences to worshipping you. Hope you don't mind...
Did you like writing about Whist as much as it seemed? I mean, I was obsessed with him, and their seemed to be a real sympathy for the character in...your....writing...dear God I'm actually typing this to you.

Whist was always my favourite character in BSky As was Asara in The Braided Path. I like writing characters who totally don't care about anything except themselves - or in Whist's case, him and his dog. It's a lot of fun to ignore the 'I'm Chaotic Evil w/ +4 Mace of Stench therefore I do bad things' characterisation and have someone who does 'bad' things if it benefits them and 'good' things if it happens to benefit them too. They're not good or evil, just utterly selfish and honest about it... that's kind of admirable to me, since most people are selfish and pretend they're not. ;D

ZombieZ! Go for the brain!!! Nicholai... thanx! Glad BSky had that effect on yo. Those release dates are for the UK, AFAIK Poison & Broken Sky aren't getting re-released in the States at the moment, but Pandemonium and Malice should be simultaneous. Still, in the end it's up to the publishers. Will let you guys know when things get set in stone...
