I've decided to just get on with the RPG Rules~ -no powerplaying -OCs are allowed -you only control your character(s) -there's no need to claim an OC or a small part - just the canon characters -have fun Character ClaimsWhist - bluephoenix Ryushi - riven Calica - ?? - (bluephoenix second choice) Kia - ?? - (bluephoenix sc) Peliqua - tama? Elani - tama? Aurin/Li'ain - Taacqan (that sounds funny XD) We'll do it a sort of prose type Well, let's play! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- He lifted the spyglass to his one good eye, focusing on the two figures on the hill. No doubt about it....these were the ones he was looking for... (not very descriptive, but it's open-ended so insert any two characters XP Don't be afraid to take initiative! Go ahead and doit! btw, this isn't Ryushi xD;; It's Mysterious Man Guy Dude~)

Just a side note, I'd appreciate it if no-one uses this character without asking me, thanks! Also, I'm adding the character in to give us a villain, and plot and stuff.
----
A prison made by the ancients lay upon the sea bed. A beautiful white prison for one human. It may be thought impossible for a human to survive without air, and with the amount of pressure, one however could, and did survive it, though to call him, her, it a human right now may be stretching it.
The thing was wretched, a vile combination of gills and scales, with teeth to capture a few unwary fish. Waiting in the cage, waiting for what seemed eternity, the creature survived, and remained sane only by it's desire to escape. Lurking in the centre of the prison, where the effect of the damper stone that made the walls was less, using what little power could be gained to slow down it's aging.
This very reclusion led to the creature not realising that the prison itself was being destroyed, or rather shaken apart. The design was such that the damper stone walls resonated at just the right frequency to drive away the larger beasties, to prevent the creature from being freed, and this led to the creatures escape. As the Pulse Hammer's force reached it's crescendo, the walls acted in a similar way to wine glass, shattering.
Only later, when the creature went to capture it's fill of small fish did it notice that the walls had come down, and it was free at last. Beginning it's inexorable way towards the surface, the creature began planning what it would do next...

"Would you hurry up?" Whist whined, looking over his shoulder at the former princess, who hadn't really fallen that far behind, but he always needed something to whine about. Beside him Blink barked and wagged his tail happily. They were going to see an old friend...and oooold friend they hadn't seen in a looong time. But if he was anything like Whist remembered, he would have managed to keep alive at least up to this point. He, of course, hadn't told Aurin...Li'ain...the girl...why he was going, it was enough that he had to go. Whist was actually surprised Li'ain had stuck with him this long. He had been nothing but inhospitable and rude and...himself...since they had started out, even occasionally muttering comments strumming two painful cords along the lines of comparing her to her father, or wondering what Ryushi ever saw in her. He actually liked her more than he admitted...the thing was, if he admitted it then he would have to accept it, and her. If he accepted her, then Mauni knew where that might go. As it stood, he had to see her as no more than a piece of meat following him around...a lovely piece of meat...but he couldn't go letting himself get attatched. But then, he was used to making sure he saw people as much less than that...

It would be hard to mistake this one, he thought as he eyed the dyed skin of the man. There'd be no mistakes this time.
He pondered the female for a few moments, wondering what to do with her. A witness would be most inconvenient; the best thing would be to take her too. A pity, but some things had to be done. He would take the dog too, of course; that was part of the deal.

Whist felt shivers travel down his spine momentarily, if he hadn't known better he would have thought it was just him still not bieng used to the colder climate. But Blink's hunched posture and his own instincts told him better. He hadn't survived this long without paying atention to his own instincts. He looked around inconcspicuously, but noticed nothing, and decided the best thing he could do was keep his guard up and a hand always at his weapon-lined belt. (I needs Li'ain to post... )

(Are we in the Dominions or Kirin Taq?)
Elani clung to the Peliqua's hand tightly. The Kirin woman tilted her head, suprised by the pressure.
"Elani... Are you alright?"
"I don't know," replied the girl honestly. "I'm fine, but there's a bad feeling coming from somewhere."
"Are you sure? Nobody we know is in any kind of trouble. You could just be imagining things..."
Relief washed over Elani. "Yeah, I'm sure that's it."

((Eeek, sorry about this ><', these sort of things sorta get away from me ^^, and its a he btw ;p))
Li'ain was admiring the sceenery((sp?)) when Whist snaped her our of her examinations. The valley they were in was moderetly forested towards the bottem, but here on the hillside the wind had nothing to block it, and it was quite cold. Winter seemed to have set in early.
Striking a pose, she glared at Whist, his almost constant complaining irritated her, but she beared it. It wasn't like she could just leave him and strike out on her own, especially here in the wilderness. Sometimes though, Whist managed to find a chink in her armour and some of this sharper remarks bit to the bone.
Blink however was a different matter.. almost. She and the hound got on well, even in she and his master did not. Often when it came time to make camp for the night, Blink would come and seek a rub behind the ears from her. It confused her, considering how close the two were, that they could show such opposite attitudes towards her.
Moving up the ridge though, she noted that Blink and Whist had not moved overtly while she had been moving the short distance to him. And after spending so such time with him, she knew what these reactions meant, something was out there, and Whist felt it...
((Again sorry, and keep poking me, I need it ^^ ~Taacqan))

Whist turned to face Li'Ain again as she finally approached him. It seemed like it should have been a proper time to make another witty remark insulting her or her heritage or something, but the earlier feeling of unease hadn't settled yet and his mind lingered more on that than anything else. He scowled at Blink as the dog yapped happily at Li'Ain, and scratched his shoulder roughly if for no other reason than to keep the dog by his side. He didn't like all the secret attention Blink showed Li'Ain, it wasn't like them disagrre on anything. Besides, Blink's affection towards Li'ain sometimes seemed to almost come close to his own. Not that was possible, it just bothered Whist that the one person, well...animal, that he could fully trust and care about was turning around and getting all friendly with the esact same girl he was trying to ignore. With a sigh he looked up at the quickly darknening dominion sky. "Funny how after half a year of being back I still have trouble remembering the damn night." He muttered, and then said to Li'Ain. "We probably woulda' been better off camping in the valley, but no sense going back there now. Start a fire will ya?"

Li'ain stared at Whist, but not for long as she began to look for firewood and a good place to start the fire. Luckely she had been looking around for a fire site for a while due to the lowering sun, and soon enough she had found a suitable site. Out of the wind finally, she set the little firewood she had found down.
"Im going to head down to get some proper wood. While im gone, set the tent up, ok?"
"This hillside is not going to have enough wood for a proper fire, we need wood from the trees down the valley." She told Whist, who was now walking up to where she has placed the sparce wood she had found.
Now knowing they weren't going to be going any further today she set down her pack. It wasn't heavy, containing the few possessions that she owned. The heaviest part of her pack was the small tent and her furs. Sleeping under the stars was nice and all, but rain soon took the pleasure out of it.

Whist moaned. "If you're going into the valley for wood we may as well just camp in the cursed place."
With that he started down the hillside, grumbling oaths under his breath as Blink boundd along beside him.
They got down to the valley quick enough, but by then night had fairly settled. Whist started a fire hurriedly, and when he had gotten it to a satisfactory size he pulled some of his spare rations out of his pack for BLink and himself. He was running low, he'd have to restock when they got to their destination...
