Buy The Bartimaeus Trilogy. If you don't have enough money for all three, buy as many as you can.

Question-wise: I like Marcus Sedgwick´s books. They are dark, (sometimes) wicked and really nicely written. Especially The Book of Dead Days is one of my favourites.

Sorry... they are my friends arent they.... i'm intrested in Marcus Sedgwick books. I think i'm going to buy either Floodland or My Swordhand is Singing. The book of dead days seems to have too much characters... i like to keep it short.

Have you read the most excellent Stephenie Meyer trilogy with Twilight, New Moon, & Eclipse? If you're interested in a harder read, go for The Children of Men by P.D. James.

The Book of Dead Days doesn´t have too much characters. There are three main characters, all rather distinguished too. There are... not that many supporting characters. And the death toll´s somewhat high so the number of characters is kept low. ;] It has a great showdown and some really nice twists and turns. You should try it!
My Swordhand is Singing is nice. I never really cared much about vampirism as Anne Rice somehwat owns that market and I don´t like her/ her books. But this has a different version of the vampire. More like the undead they really are. Rotting and all. And it´s creepy. °w°~

I'm sold. High death tolls are what I live for lol ironic. The wikipedia article gave a list of names so I was immediatly replused, but I trust you. So i'll get both. thank you..
And about twighlight; all the girls that are in my classes are in love with the books; I am going to read it but in secret...
