I'm a big sci-fi fan. And I also like laughing. So imagine my utter delight when I finally discovered Stargate SG-1. It has both in droves. There's plenty of science and fiction to keep me interested, as a team of four people explore many worlds in their endless battle against the Go'auld. And of course, there is humour, thanks to the brilliance that is Colonel Jack O'Neill. Just to give some of you a taster, here are some quotes: O'Neill: "What's the bad news, General?" Hammond: "Not much for small talk, are you, Colonel?" O'Neill: "How was your weekend? Get a little fishing in?" Carter: "Temperature: Ground 1700° Fahrenheit, air seems to be in pockets ranging from 1500° to 200°." O'Neill: "Sounds like L.A." O'Neill: "I think what the Captain is asking is what now?" Bra'tac: "Now we die." O'Neill: "Well, that's a bad plan." O'Neill: "Assuming, of course, you are the Tok'ra." Cordesh: "And if we're not?" O'Neill: "Well, I guess we all start shooting. There's blood, death, hard feelings. It'd suck." Cromwell: "Like old times, eh, Jack?" O'Neill: "Oh yeah. Black holes, worm holes, old times." ... I'm going to stop there before I get carried away.

HOMEHGAWD!!!!! I love SG-1. I just can't get enough of sci-fi, so this this show fits me perfectly. You're right, O'neil is awsome, but of-course, my favorite is Teilk. He's not funny in a direct manner like O'neil, but he still has his querks.

Funny thing I remember about Teal'c is when he tells a Jaffa joke and then bursts out laughing after the punchline and the others just kind of stare at him and then continue their conversation as if nothing ever happened.
The team has a great dynamic. Hence why it's a shame that O'Neill left to do other stuff and we're stuck with Colonel Mitchell.

Sure it's not as awesome without him, but it's still a fantastic show.
