I happen to think that the Braided Path series would make just about the most epic Movie saga, and if by some divine chance it were, who do you think would play what character?

It would be an amazing film, but I'd be so scared to watch it for all the really gory moments orz 'least I'd know when they were coming... unless it was sufficiently different from the books.
Asara would have to be played by all of the most beautiful actresses (and actors...). But I really don't know any actors that fit the image I have in my head for everyone .___. The weavers could be anyone with a hell of a lot of prosthetics, haha.

I think it would be almost impossible to make, the budget would be insane and you would need at least 6 movies just to do it justiice I think, but it would just be amazing! I can totally see Anthony Hopkins playing a weaver, and Helena Bonham Carter having SOMETHING to do with it ;D

It'd need to be pretty budget-y but hell, I'd love to see that on the big screen. Or as a tv-series... with lots of budget, yeah.
In my head the whole cast was Asian and sadly, I don't know enough Asian actors. :[ (So let's hope Shyamalan doesn't get interested in TBP... *shudders*)

Haha, I imagined the whole cast as asian too! It was all the asian-sounding names that did it.

That's true... weird. I've always thought of Saramyr as an Asian country too, but I guess it only extends to the characters having black hair and the sort of vague Chinese features (aka not English). Shame on me.

I think the asianess stems from the fact that they kneel, have no doors and the way their names sound which are all kind of asian stereotypes. Flight I get what u mean about the actress, and as far as the tkithuri (u know what i mean i cant spell it) pretty much anyone who looks kind of amazonian can play them. I've noticed that even in made up worlds of Chris' they seem like their in an exsisting place, ie Saramyr is Asia, Okhamba is kind of native, and in say the Ketty Jay they definitely seem English

I suppose it speaks to the difficulty of breaking into Hollywood as an asian actor that we can't think of the names of any.
