Ah, the sexyness of Chris Wooding, wouldn't you agree?

Come on guys! You mean to tell me that no one has posted anything about Alaizabel on here? Now that is just pityful. *shrugs* Oh well, I guess that just means that I get to be the first at something. Anyway, The Haunting has got to be favorite book from him. I like how It’s dark and twisted yet the main characters are still quite civilized. It also had one of the deepest story lines I’ve read in any book with going over the edge. I loved how Chris was able to mix fantasy and horror into a city from present day. It shoes how things might have happened if this stuff was possible instead of the world turning out the way did in actual real life. It also had a wonderful climax.

The answer to your question why no ones has posted any Alaizabel-thread yet is, I just wanted people to do it first. XD
Alaizabel is my all-time favourite. It was my first CW book and also the first book I read in English. I simply loved it for the dark atmosphere, the whole situation, the main characters and the Wych-kin. They are lovely! I have a soft spot for the Draugs. They are "teh awesomeness".
I liked the ending as well! The way Chris adds some philosophical meaning to the whole story was something I wasn´t prepared for! The way he put it (that people needed something to believe in. As with the Age of Reason and Darwing explaining life there wasn´t much to believe in anymore.) it was understandable. It got me thinking. And I liked that. It wasn´t just some Horror-novel you read and then put out of your hands and forget all about it. It has a deeper meaning than just survival horror. <3
*huggles the book* Mine´s a bit tattered. I read it too much. X3 Oh, and by the way. The book smells really good. At least mine does... °v°

...it smells good, of course. OK , I confess that this is the only CW book I've read so far, but it was quite enjoyable. Maybe there were some weaknesses here and there, but overall I enjoyed it - maybe just because it had quite a few memorable scenes. The way it is written and paced, it felt like a movie. Yeah, and Victorian London with demons. Perfect mix.

You forgot the women slaying Jack the Ripper.
Stitch Face was such a delightful little maniac.
*wants the movie* X3

Alaizabel Cray was amazing, it didn't leave the same impression on me as Broke Sky, but still, amazing!!
Stitch-face was one of the coolest villians I've ever read about, and I adored Cathaline. (I want to marry Thaniel!!)
Plus, the idea of the Wytch-kin was very original and sooo cool. Very creepy, very eerie, it was amazing.

Yay for Cathaline! She´s soo cool! And... somewhat freaky... but I admit, that´s what I like about her! °V°~ She should marry Carver...

Yeah, I really hope Cathaline would hook up with someone. As muc as I DID love the Thaniel/Alaizabel coupling, it was kind of sad that the two main characters got together, like in most books. Still, it went prefectly...

Who doesn't want the movie? Also of note is if it ever does come to pass, I'd give a lot to play a part in it.

Similarly, Thaniel or Stitchface would be very nice indeed for me.

That wouldn't work, because then you'd be one arm short for playing him.

Well then maybe I'd tweak the character...Stich-arm!

XDDD
I admit I always imagined how wonderful it´d be if I could at least play some extra... Dying would be great, too. XD Maybe Leanna Butcher (the name is prophecy, isn´t it? °~°).
If they ever shot this movie I´d camp outside the studios and wait for an opportunity to get inside... xD

It's always fun to die in plays, and movies I'd assume.
Also, given that it's set in London, there's a slim chance that I might see them (being in the same country), in fact given the nature of filming, probably slightly higher than me seeing Chris Wooding.
At any rate, me wantsss a movie precioussss.
