Hi Chris and friends - I have just read Poison and its amazing - I cant believe it. I'm not into this kind of thing and only read literature like DH Lawrence - however, I was in a kids book shop with my son and the girl spoke about it to a teenage girl there in a really interesting way - I was curious enough to buy it for myself - now I am reading it and half way through - its amazing - its so good. It never flags. You Chris are far more talented than JK Rowling or any of them - this never bores - it feels as if its real!! One doesn't think of the writer one thinks that one is getting a glimpse into another reality! Its just amazing! Are the other books as good as this?? It wouldn't matter - this is a massive achievement! I'm a Fleet St journalist and I have just published my second non fic book 'In For The Kill a real life girl in the dragon tattoo tale - well its my life story. I really related to Poison having been adopted and never felt part of this world. Thanks again for giving me something nourishing to read!! Chris Hart Attachments:

Moved the topic to the Poison section. Welcome to the Lanes! And yes, Poison is an amazing read. Looking forward to what you think of the whole book when you've finished reading it. And I know what you mean. The story is tightly knit and the world feels so real - it's fleshed out and complex. Yeah, I love the world it's set in, the humour and the characters. There is so much to explore and I enjoyed the dark and creepy atmosphere - man, I should really re-read it some time. (Then again, I should re-read Storm Thief, too. That's another YA-fantasy-story and you might enjoy reading that one, too! )
