Welcome to Niveus Nox's Café, where I'll be posting mostly photography!!! So please, grab a cup of your favorite drink (because we have everything here), meander the thread, and chit-chat about any artworks you see! **I'll select new picture(s), hopefully each day, to put in the Café** _-On Exhibit-_The Weathered CroixCrespusculum IraLe DépartSufferanceChandelier

I've voted for animals and surrealism. Perhaps you could even blend the two? Good luck, by the way.

Check out my first posted photographs! The Weathered Croix is of the towers on La cathédrale Sainte-Croix in Orléans, France, while Crepusculum Ira is a photo I took last evening, 60 miles away, from the safety of my porch.

Those look so handsome. Did you use a red filter or was it on Photoshop? Hehe, it is angry.

Those are both gorgeous. I'm loving the colours in the second one.

The Weathered Croix brings images of The Haunting of Cray to me... quite fitting when all things are considered. However, I have to agree with Becca and Flight; there is something appealingly simple, yet effective with the second one. I can't place my finger on it, but there is something more visually powerful about it. Maybe its loudness of the red that makes it so striking. While the first picture is nice, its rather mute and a little dull (beautiful building mind). Still they're both lovely

With the cathedral I wanted to leave it alone as much as possible, but I wanted to bring out the green a tad, so I just messed with the contrast. The only thing I did with the clouds was contrast as well. I didn't have to tweak either of them much at all, so what you see isn't much different from the original shot.

More excellent pictures! Le Depart and Sufferance are both very eerie.

I won't be able to post more pics until the middle of next week. My battery charger is not charging my batteries.

UPDATE: late on new pics for two reasons- 1) my battery charger wasn't the problem, my camera was.... so I have to get another one! > 2) I'm still transferring stuff onto my new computer
