I just found out The Fade is being released here in America in Feb of 2009. Only a year and 3 months late, lol.
I'll probably snatch up a copy of it to see the cover and stuff like that. ^_^

It hasn't been released in America yet @__@ That's just wrong.
Crazy.
On Amazon.com the cover looks identical to the English version, though it may just show that picture for lack of another.

It hasn't been released in America yet @__@ That's just wrong. Crazy. Yep, I had to buy mine off of Amazon UK. Glad I did, but it'll be nice to see another Chris book in stores. Most of them no longer carry anything of his. For a while, they had Poison, The Braided Path triology, and sometimes Storm Thief. But they're all gone now.

My nearest (big) bookshop has most of Chris' books [:
Broken Sky, HoaC, Poison, Storm Thief, Braided Path and The Fade.
Although, they're not always in stock.

I ordered mine a long time ago too. I was too impatient to wait. My bookstore only has a few of Chris's books so eventually I gave up and relied on the internet.

AFAIK There is still no official American release of The Fade. Certainly no American publisher has signed up for it yet. Don't know where you got that from, Zemira? It's probably easier to order it from the UK or Canada...

Hmm, all the local bookstores have been saying they were getting it in Feb 2009. The two main chains are Borders and Barns and Noble. Both have computers set up to search the store's inventory. Whenever I go into either store, I always do a search for "Chris Wooding" just because I want to see if they actually have anything (they never do). And recently, both stores have been showing The Fade as "not yet published" but a release date set as Feb. 2009. I guess they're mistaken? Or randomly adding a UK book? Although they have no listing of Malice whatsoever. Huh, well. I guess...we have to wait a bit longer.

I finally got my hands on a copy of it *hugs her book* The back cover does indicate that it was a UK printed book, but I did buy it through Barnes and Nobel online....
I'm not going to be picky, all I know is that I have it!
