It struck me that the 'annoy your author with questions' thread is getting super-long, in the interests of tidiness would it be a good idea to start a new one when the old one reaches, say, 20 pages? We could call it 'volume 2' or something so new people know there's been one before, and put a link to the first one so people can still find it (if that's possible). It might be less intimidating that way.
Having, as I do, bags of spare time, I would be willing to make a list of questions that have been asked so we don't annoy our author with the same questions and people don't have to trawl through the whole thread.
Thoughts?

Certainly works for me. I noticed that today when I logged on and saw the 16 pages. ^_^

I don't really care either way.

At least a compilation of previously asked questions would be useful.

That is a nice idea, really! I myself prefer it when things are tidy even though my room does not look like it.
20 pages sounds good, also given that the first one´s already up to 16 pages.
And shy, a list of already answered questions would be awesome! °w°
Time for tea.

Wouldn't just a post at the beginning of the first thread (if that can be done) of a list of questions be fine? Why do we need another thread just because the first one is long?
It would be more messier in the future because you'd wind up with stacks of threads about the same topic.

If you do make a list of answered questions, there should also be noted which page each question is on, so people interested in knowing the answer can find it easily.

Yeah. That would be nice. It is a very looong post.

hahah, coming from a forum where the average thread is 50+ pages, I hadn't noticed. but I do agree. here it seems cluttered.

Why do we need another thread just because the first one is long? It could become difficult in future for people to find where questions have been answered if it gets out of control. I agree it's probably not necessary at the minute, but it might save a lot of hassle later. If anyone's still interested, I've made a list of questions that have been asked so far. I *haven't* marked which page the answers are on, but it shouldn't be too difficult to find where the answers are

Uuuu, thanks lizardqueen! About a day after I made that post saying I had enough free time to compile a list the tutors gave us a new project so I suddenly had no free time at all! I felt really bad about not finishing it.

Whooo! Nice job lizardqueen! That'll be really helpful! A table-of-contents thing. ^_^

hm, what to do if it gets to long.... WRITE YOURSELF A NOTE ON WHAT PAGE IT IS ON! is it that hard? like this: "post on pg 5" no need for anyone to do anything, I know my post is on page 6, and the table of contents? woulden't that be just another LONG list and VERY pointless "no need to tell them on something they have, lets give them something MORE" to me this is all I need
