**This is the sign up to the RP that was discussed in the "Does anyone here RP?" thread of the General forum.** ((This is just basic character profile, feel free to add anything to your profiles you see fit. Also, we can change the name of the RP, I just had to pick something for the character sign up ...)) Name: Roland Loftus Gender: Male Race: Human Age: 30 Class: Scholar/Treasure hunter Height: 6’ Weight: 160 lbs. Skin Color: Tanned. Form: Slender frame, lacking in muscle Eyes: Brown Hair: Black hair pulled back in a ponytail. Attire: Brown boots, trousers, and shirt. Other: When traveling carries a pack with many accessories helpful on adventures. Also wears spectacles when reading. Hometown: Cerulean. A small village on the eastern border of Rone. The lands of Rone's alliance partner Descarta are just east of Cerulean over the Serpent River, so the small town has never had much fear of attack. Farming generates a good portion of Cerulean's jobs. Because of this and its location, Cerulean is a destination to many traders. Recently (as in "at the onset of this RP) however, misfortune visited itself upon the village. The town was massacred in the dead of night. Buildings razed, crops torched, and townsfolk brutally murdered. The perpetrators remain undiscovered, but Rone cannot let this tragedy go unanswered. The match has been struck, and the inferno of war must follow. Alignment: Good Intent (may unintentionally cause harm or grief to innocents.) Martial Status: Single. There’s a past…which you will all find out eventually… Family: Parents: Jace and Violet. No siblings. Special Powers: N/A Personality: Very inquisitive and determined in regards to his work. As a person he is kind and understanding with a somewhat obsessive interest in his own morality. Some think him mad with his tendency to mutter aloud to himself when deep in thought. He has many fears, and gets nervous easily. He is timid in matters of physical prowess, but has a certain audacity in matters of the mind as intelligence is his weapon and the mind his battlefield. History: From an early age it was clear Roland was not cut out for physical tasks, and he excelled in trials of the mind. His childhood friend, Helen, went with him on many explorations and piqued his interest in history of the land and treasures to be found. Before Helen fell into death’s cold embrace while on one adventure, she had Roland make her a promise. It is that promise that is always in the back of Roland’s mind, and one he is determined to fulfill…

Is it alright if I make a group of mages from the Descartan Army be the ones resposible for the distruction of Cerulean? That still leaves the questions of who ordered them to do it, who's behind the kidnapping of Rone leaders, and why still to be answered, but I hope it doesn't feel like I'm taking the plot in a direction you don't want. I'll change it if you don't like it. Name: Saiyu Clemen Gender: female Race: human Age: 22 Class: Wind Mage Height: 5'3'' Weight: 106 lbs Skin Color: pale Form: Average in pretty much everything. Eyes: hazel Hair: A light grey-brown unkempt mess that reaches her shoulders. Attire: Wears a dark brown cloak, and plain shirt/pants. She quickly ditched the blue and black uniform of the Descartan Army when she found out she was the only one who hadn't made it back from the assult on Cerulean. Other: none Hometown: She can't remember. Somewhere in Descarta. Alignment: True neutral. Some loyalty to Descarta, despite the acts of its military. She has a moral compass... some of the time. Marital Status: single Family: None known to her. Personality: Saiyu is rather whimsical, willing to go where chance leads her. She's calm and polite, unless under lots of stress. History: Saiyu grew up in an orphanage in Descarta. She never knew who her parents were, and never spent much time searching for them. She joined the army when she was 18 (and has since then been studying magic there), but never grew very fond of it.

I just want to clear up a few things: 1. This is in no way MY RP, it's everyone who participates, so everyone has equal say. No one has to ask my explicit permission for anything.
2. Anyone can create any race/location/etc.. as long as it doesn't clash with the fantasy setting agreed upon and doesn't contradict pre-existing creations in the world. (e.g. the desert land of Barion cannot be located in the north of the continent because ToolofGod specifically said it is the "southernmost land on the continent")
Also, I realize this is poor timing just when this is getting started, but I will be gone for a week. But y'all don't have to wait on me!! If Becca and Zemira sign up, then by all means feel free to make a new thread and start the RP! I'll join in when I return ^_^

It would also be cool if we drew pictures of our characters and have a link in the descriptions.

Weight: 65 kilos (I don't know what that is in pounds)
Skin Color: Pale
Form: Average.

Hair: Black, tied back in a long ponytail.
Attire: Blue sleeveless top, long black pants, silver lightweight belt.

Family: Mia has not seen her parents since she was six years old. They could be dead for all she knows, for all she cares. No siblings. Her ex-husband is in Descarta.

Yeah, I'm still figuring out my character, too. Becca, if you need any help, let me know. ^_^ I've been a member of too many RPs to count, lol, so I can probably help you figure out some stuff, if you want. ^_^
The offer stands for anyone else too. ^_^

I'm just a little stuck on what exactly "class" and "alignment" are referring to. I also have a problem inventing place names, hehe.

I figured alignment meant good or bad side... class, I'm not sure of myself.

Alignment, yeah, on the most basic level, it's good and bad. Dungeons and Dragons makes it a bit more specific. You have Lawful Good (Basically, you follow the law to a T, even if the law is wrong...Honorable, but sometimes vengeful), Neutral Good (Good, but not so strict about it. They follow their own code, kinda.), Chaotic Good (Zealous, VERY very zealous, especially when confronted with evil. They are usually pretty annoying, lol). Then, there's the Neutral sides. Lawful Neutral (Order is important, follows the laws or their own moral code.), True Neutral (Does what seems is a good idea. Kinda of undecided. Not really following either good or evil), and Chaotic Neutral (Follows their own idea. Doesn't really care about others, too much. Does whatever they want.). Finally, the Evil sides. Lawful Evil (Doesn't care about hurting anyone. Follows rules, and doesn't care who they steps on on the way up. Somewhat honorable...will not break a promise. Usually intelligent), Neutral Evil (Doesn't care about laws or codes. Does whatever the character wants. Pure evil, basically), and Chaotic Evil (hot-tempered, vicious, unpredictible. Not exactly the smartest villian ever. Not good at organizing. Just does what is evil at that time. No future-sight). They're hard to explain, but that's the basics.
Then, classes. Well, there are clerics, healers, basically. Fighters, self-explainatory. Rangers are fighters with bows and pretty connected with nature. They often have an animal companion. Wizards- Mages who use magic to cause damage, basically. Rogue- Thief, small dagger-user. Paladins are kinda like fighters...they fight, but usually on a mount...they can be pretty zealous, and are Lawful Good, unless they are "Fallen Paladins" in which case they can be any alignment. There are also Druids, which are very very into nature, tree-hugging, etc...They can become animals if they desire, and they use magic, but the magic comes from Nature. There are also the basic supporting classes...Bards, usually. Bards try to help the party in whatever way. They can pick up a weapon and fight (although that's not usually what they're known for), or they can play music or chant or something to heal a comrade or boost the power of the attacks, or boost defense, etc.
I left out several classes there, but those are the most basic of basic, using the D&D guide as a basis. The other classes are different variations of the ones I mentioned. D&D gets incredibly complicated, and I don't think anyone really understands everything, lol. But that hopefully should give you a bit more info. ^_^

Mine's probably Lawful Evil... probably somewhere between that and True Neutral, but leaning towards Lawful Evil.
She's a Fighter.

Thank you, that was very helpful! I'm still a little unsure about where my character would fall in the classes section, so I'll leave her as unknown for now.
I think I've went into far too much detail in the last four sections... Tell me if it's too much.
Name: Pandora Manos
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Age: 18
Class: Unknown.
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 136lbs.
Skin Colour: Pale in the winter, but tans easily.
Form: Curvaceous, which sometimes causes her problems in the tavern where she works.
Eyes: Very dark brown.
Hair: Wavy, sandy blonde hair, cut to rest just below her shoulders and also has a full fringe(bangs). Often wears her hair with half up in a ponytail and half left loose.
Attire: Usually wears baggy beige trousers and tunics, along with brown boots. When she is working, she wears a white peasant dress with a green overskirt and a very tight black bodice along with low, pointed boots. Her landlord finds that such attire keeps his customers loyal…
Other: Always wears a silver ring with a flower pattern made up of marcasite stones and an amethyst in the centre. It used to belong to her older sister.
Hometown: Used to live with her family in a large village called Berlau in Rone, until she moved to the main city about six months ago.
Alignment: Neutral Good. She would never intentionally harm anyone unless threatened.
Martial Status: Single.
Family: Parents are Archon and Jacinda Manos. Was the second youngest of six children; Hari (25), Bowen and Bastien (22), Natara (19), Pan (18) and Andor (15). Pan was never especially close with her parents or older brothers. However, she absolutely adored Natara and the two were very close. She loved Andor a great deal too, though their relationship could never be called “close” as Andor was a very insular boy who rarely spoke to anyone.
Special Powers: Pan has a strange sort of sixth sense around people. She knows who is friendly or when to avoid someone from just a passing glimpse into their eyes, almost as though she can see their intent. Recently these feelings have been accompanied by sudden flashes of images, too fast to interpret. She also has a photographic memory and, for some unexplained reason, cats seem to love her.
Personality: Pan seems quiet and level-headed at first glance, but when she gets angry she can be quite forbidding. She is fairly book-smart, but not particularly witty or cunning. Only her instincts have protected her from danger in the city thus far, but it can’t be too long until she gets herself into trouble. The future seems like a vague and distant concept to her, so she rarely plans ahead or thinks of the consequences of her actions. She loves to sing as she goes about her day.
History: Pan had a reasonably happy childhood, spending most of her time playing outdoors with Natara and figuring out ways to annoy her older brothers. Though Natara was a very sweet, feminine girl and Pan was a tomboy who enjoyed nothing more than climbing trees and coming home completely covered in mud, the two were as close as imaginable… Until little over a year ago, when Natara disappeared from their home in the middle of the night. She had taken very few of her possessions, and left behind her favourite ring along with a note for Pan. It simply read “Please forgive me”.
Over the next few months, Pan waited in vain for her sister to return home while tensions in the family ran high. Her parents were convinced that Pan knew something about Natara’s disappearance and was hiding the truth from them. Secretly, Pan always thought Natara would have gone to the city as she always talked about moving there to make her fortune. Finally, nine months ago, Pan moved to the city with the intention of tracking down her sister. Easier said than done - she took up a job in The Black Boar tavern to earn a little money, and has been there ever since...
