I love the whole chaos idea and the ending... Pure brilliance. Each time I pick up one of Chris Wooding's books I end up reading them in one sitting. So far I've only read Poison, Storm Thief, and the Haunting of Alaizabel Cray, but now that I've heard about his other books I can't wait to read them. Anyways... Storm Thief is definitely on my list of favorite fantasy books.

The probability storms reminded me of the probability drive from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. XD
And all the chaos/chance stuff is a good change from the typical fate/destiny themes in most fantasy stories. I feel this message is portrayed in a lot of Chris Wooding's books, and it's very enjoyable.

There is another book that reminds me of Storm Thief. I don't remember exactly what it's called, but I think it's something around Omega or something. It's about a giant spacial storm that destroys planets by changing the environment.
