LOL. That's much better than my idea. Dammit!

Wow, that would be odd...But if even if Chris actually wrote a story like that, you'd know it'd be good just because he wrote it. *worship*

I'm gonna be the first to say that this is a better idea than football.

I quite like the idea of football on glowy manta rays! I saw a french cartoon once called Galactik Football which was loosely about that and it was surprisingly good. ;D

Random question for Chris: Do you know what the dimensions of the book will be and how many pages will it be?

Actually, I think you may be on to something here! I combined the original title "Halflight" with the new title "The Fade," and came up with this: A family have a dimmer switch installed in their house, allowing their light to 'fade' to halfway between light and dark depending on how much light they need, thus making it 'halflight.' tbh, I really think Chris Wooding's running out of ideas if he's writing about that. However, I DO commend him for managing to write a full length novel about something so mundane. Never underestimate his descriptive talent! Or it could be about something much more exciting. Either works. EDIT: Just looked up the summary on amazon, and I'm pretty sure it backs up my theory. Granted, I MAY have been paraphrasing... www.amazon.co.uk/Fade-Gollancz-S-F-Chris-Wooding/dp/0575076992/ref=sr_1_16/026-4630330-0697206?ie=UTF8&s=books

I didn't even think about checking amazon. Thanks. I'm still curious about the dimensions.

There hasn't been an announcement that it will be coming to the US, so us Americans either have to order it from the UK or wait and hope and pray that it will eventually be released. As for me, I don't take my chances, so I'm ordering it. Plus, I'm far to impatient to wait to see if they decide to bring it over here. ^_^
