*SPOILERS* I think it's when Cal and his mate (who's name I've shockingly forgotten... let's call him Jed, I don't have the book to hand) are blasted in a nightclub and Jo Anderson comes over to say hi to Jed. I don't think you ever really see Jay from Crashing (is that his name? Oh man, my memory...) but Jo says that the two of them are still together after X amount of time. Just a little bit of continuity, I thought you guys'd like it You'll spot a familiar face in Malice too, but I'm not telling you who...

Ok, well, yeah, go by Chris's version, lol. I really can't remember. But I do remember Jo talking about how long she'd been with "Jay" now that he mentions it. It's a very very brief passage, out of an action-filled (compared to Crashing, lol) book.
Ooooooh, now I can't wait for Malice even more! Gah, he's killing us by giving us tiny little amounts of info and yanking it away. Anyone else feel like a trout?

You'll spot a familiar face in Malice too, but I'm not telling you who... I bet it'll be someone really conspicuous and easy to spot, but Chris'll make it very subtle and no one will know. "And there goes Kaiku chasing after a pack of Weavers... *points into the distance*"

Isn't Cal's friend called Joel? If we mean the guy who always nicks his cigarettes and wants to be black... I'm going to have to memorise all the character's names so I can spot it. Incidentally, did anyone who reads Eoin Colfer's stuff notice that he does that? In Artemis Fowl one of the villains is a guy called John Spiro, then in the Supernaturalist they mention Spiro Industries being beaten by Myishi Corp. then in The Wish List in Hell there's a computer genius called Myishi. It's like they're all set in the same universe but at different times, it's very cool.

Knowing my luck it'll be someone from the very few books I haven't read. For some reason though, I'm thinking that it's not going to from BKSky...Don't know why. Hmmmmmm.....

I just finished Crashing yesterday. I didn't like it quite as much as Kerosene (which I must now reread), probably because Cal is more awesome than Jay. But it was still really good!
When I first read about the Zone I thought it was the place Cal burned down. But it turned out to be a lot bigger than one factory, so I guess I was wrong. XD

Lol, yeah, and in Kerosene, Cal mentions the Zone at one point. They never go there, but he does mention it. ^_^

Aww, the slang is one of the reasons I luve it, lol. I'm so glad it got published in America with that much British slang. But, I luve reading it because it's so different. I don't think Americans really realize how differently other countries speak so reading the books was fun. ^_^
