Funny, I see that a lot of people were apprehensive about reading it. Poison was the first book that I read by Chris Wooding.
I loved it. I really don't care if he was on drugs in order to write it either.

Yeah, Poison was the first for me too. I almost didn't read it because I ran out of time and had to take it back to the library, but something told me to get it out again... and, of course, I loved it!

The only reason I hesitated in reading it was the American cover. It looked really cliched and stupid, so I didn't really want to read it. Thankfully, my fiancee made me, and it turned out to be one of my favorite books. ^_^

It just looked cheesey to me, and like an angsty teen book.

It does look very "teenish".

I never actually got to see the nose, the library stuck a big sticker in the middle, and I'm a teen so watch it!

Lawd, that cover looks bad compared to the one I have! Poison was like the 4th of his that I read. I even remember the order: The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray, Broken sky 1, Storm theif, Poison, Broken Sky 2, Broken Sky 3, Malice. Wait a second, this isn't the future yet!

I kinda prefer the old cover. The new one looks too childish to me (I also don't like the new Broken Sky covers, but I brought the books anyway because I was sick of having a million books of Broken Sky lying around).

Wow, that cover is weird. She looks like a football (European football) player. Lol, at least to me. I think I prefer my current cover, lol.

Meh, I don't like any of 'em much Oops! On a slightly more positive note, the Tales Of The Ketty Jay will have covers by the uber talented Stephan Martiniere www.martiniere.com. Pretty! ;D

Oooooo... Funny thing though, I never thought the author wouldn't like his own front covers... Also that american cover. The person on the front just doesn't look like Poison to me

I much prefer my cover: It's just more... suited to the book. I love The Fade cover, as well. Oooh, that artist is really amazing!
