I tried to explain to them that I could write with both, I just liked my left hand better then. My theory is that they don't like having to get left-handed scissors just for the 'special' kids. Uniformity is encouraged by punishment....
Hehe, now I switch randomly during note taking in college just to confuse my teachers (and to give my aching hands a break from all those lecture notes!)
Oh, and your handwriting is so pretty!

Oh, you're naturally ambidextrous? I thought you meant you were left-handed and they made you swop. You're right about the scissors though, my school had no left-handed scissors, I had to bring my own. I'm happy you think my handwriting is pretty, my teachers hate it because it's so small.

I love your handrwiting shyviolet, it's really lovely! (And it's "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" in case you were still wondering >_< )
And it must be cool being ambidextrous anna! Like you said, you can swap hands to give the other one a break. How rude of the teachers making you switch though! The teachers at my Primary school never seemed to have problems with people being left-handed, and my Secondary school actually had more left handed scissors than the other kind (though that was probably down to the other scissors being stolen for weapons by people).

Ah, thank you! I knew it was something about a jumping fox, but I couldn't think where the z came in.
I didn't expect to get compliments about my handwriting, I'm all flattered!
It's a more common problem that you'd think with teachers. They get irritated that the left-handers can't do any cutting-out exercises because there are no left-handed scissors and that they can't use handwriting pens and they get tired of always reading smudged work... My teacher wouldn't let me angle my book either so I smudged it even when I wrote in pencil. I always wished I were ambidextrous so that I could at least use the scissors, but I just learnt to cut with right-handed ones in my left hand. I wouldn't recommend it; it really makes one's wrist hurt.

I wouldn't recommend it; it really makes one's wrist hurt. I remember writing out that sentence when we went to Beamish when I was in Primary School. We had to try and write it in Victorian style handwriting like what had been written on the board. Needless to say, mine was rather bad. Aww, you should expect compliments about your handwriting, it's really nice! That's very unfair. If I was a teacher I would encourage left-handedness and demand left-handed scissors! That really is something that all schools should have anyway because it isn't fair to only have right-handed scissors. It's not like it'd cost them a fortune to buy some in.

Yah, very pretty handwriting, shy. ^_^ And of course, the doodle at the bottom is wonderful as well (and so cute!). I didn't see any smudges, either.

Ahh, that's because I was writing on my lap with the paper at an angle, but that biro isn't too smudgy anyway. You should see how horrible it goes if i try to write with a cartridge pen.
I draw that doodle on the end of all my notes, letters, and cards because my signature is so neat and boring. It's supposed to be me laughing, but it doesn't look much like me.
