If they ever do make the movie....Wow, I would love to play a part in it. Even...I could help with the costumes. Oh! I cater weddings rather frequently over here in california, so maybe I could be the set caterer.

I'd love to see the Haunting as a movie. I can totally picture... I'm only afraid that they would ruin it.
And that would be pretty cool if I met Chris Wooding. He's my favorite author. ;D

I dunno whether the movie can be that bad considering that The Master Himself wrote the script... It would be different from the book, but that is quite alright for I want to be surprised. *laughs* Though I guess Carver will not be among the surviving characters. Just a hunch but, well, let´s wait and see.
And wait we must.

Yeah, somehow I expect Carver to meet a different fate as well. It actually really surprised me that he lived in the book. Not that I minded, I kinda liked Carver. ^_^

Carver = somewhat handsome Detective, working together with Maycraft on "the green tack murders", spoiler, spoiler, spoiler... etc.
Did I mention he was cute?
Did I...?
Oh well. xD

@ zemira: Yepp, during Thaniel´s and Blake´s fight I had totally forgotten Carver had been shot. *laughs* But you know what you do with the cool, handsome characters? You put them somewhere save where they cannot die. I don´t know what the movie has in store for him but... I hope it´s not too nasty.
Although, if he dies we wouldn´t have this lovely ending with Stitchface. It was an amazing "Duh!"-moment. XD

lol, yeah. i hope they don't get rid of carver. THat would be pointless, in my mind. And poor Carver. He doesn't deserve to die.

I would give my entire Johnny Depp DVD collection to be in The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray, even as an extra. That's 20+ films (so far) and then 3 seasons of 21 Jump Street. That's how much I'd love to be in the film.
If I met Chris Wooding I'd calmly walk up and tell him how cool he is and ask him for his autograph, pretty please, then calmly walk away ... and trip and fall flat on my face. I'm not clumsy, I just have a habit of embarrassing myself at times when I want to be as cool as possible.
I hope Carver doesn't die in the film. I quite like him. And if someone extremely handsome plays him then I'd like him even more.

Hmm, if I met Chris Wooding...I'd babble. I babble a lot, especially to people I am excited to meet or be talking to. I'd probably tell him how I spent 80 US dollars for a copy of Haunting (that I already had) that had his autograph to someone else. Yeah, I did do that. Found a copy in a used book store in England, and paid $80 to have it shipped here just to get his autograph. And the book wasn't in very good shape, unfortunately. Whoever sold it was an idiot. But I still have it. ^__^

By the way, stoneandfire, I know this is off-topic but I love the quote in your signature. The Libertine, right? One of the few Johnny Depp films I don't have - I always go off alone to look at films and then remember that I can't get any 18's. *Laugh*
