Well, I'm 21. Probably not the oldest, but I'm up there....well, here at least. I think I'm the oldest who has actually mentioned their age, lol.

*gasp* OH NO! 30?!?!?! the horror....the horror. And 24 is not that old. I say old is after 50, lol. But I'm sure when I'm 50, old will be after 70 or something. ^_^

Welcome Colleen. And while I'm not old - 22 - when I realise I started reading Broken Sky when I was 14, that makes me feel old.

We must have been reading it at the same time, I started reading BSky when I was 10 and I'm four years younger than you. Interesting...
Colleen, what exactly is your boring job? Is it boring and easy, or boring and mind-wrenchingly complicated?

I answer phones in the mornings, and do data entry in the afternoons. One is an internship for a class so i can't duck out of that one as much to check out crooked lanes. Thanks everybody for the cookies and tea, i actually know a great song about cookies and tea but anyways..i just feel old because i just started reading chris's books last year...yes i know late start...but i still found them and loved them all the same!!

Heh, it´s never late to start reading some author´s books. It´s not like they have a time limit. XD
And your job does sound boring. :< *huggles*

That's true, I realised the other day that I had never read classic children's books like the Mallory Towers series so I started buying those, and I'm only just getting into Garth Nix and stuff. I only got into Chris Wooding because my sister bought them then decided she didn't like them anymore.

WHAT? *outraged* Not really... ;D Anyway, classic, CLASSIC, bestest kids books ever: Marianne Dreams by Catherine Storr and The Tripods Trilogy by John Christopher (the prequel is nothing special, just read the original trilogy).

I sneak onto Crooked Lanes at my job too. I'm working at a publishing company currently, so what I do at the moment is check to make sure than any illustrations are both on file and have a printed copy. Exciting, no? But it's really not enjoyable because this place only publishes medical textbooks and things like that, so a lot of the pictures are really bloody and just disgusting. Especially for me, since I have a weak stomach. So, whenever I feel a little "blech", I come on here! ^_^
