i was clearly surprised by it in the first book... "i was like what? wait wait OMG" lol it surprises you at first... and its so sophesticated that some of the stuff went RIGHT Over my head for a few paragraphics... and then the unevatiable "oohhhhh, um... wow" lol. and an other wow from me. it became a little dirty for me, whenever someone mentioned look through it.. it also left me paranoid on your other works. but that is for another thread.

I was expecting it, since I had known about it, but I was still a little uncomfortable reading it. :-( I'm very...prude-ish, I guess, and I can't even watch sex scenes in movies without feeling like I shouldn't be there. >_<
But I wouldn't call the book smut by any means. It was still a wonderful book. ^_^

I was at school when I got to that bit, and I sat there thinking "Oh God please don't let anyone be reading over my shoulder please please please..." There were so many idiotically adolescent boys there that always used to say I was drawing porn even if I was drawing a ROCK that I was in constant fear of what would happen if one of them saw the book. On my own it doesn't bother me so much though, as long as it seems in place (which it does in these). Random sex scenes do bug me a lot...

'sex scenes' would do fine. It's descriptive, accurate and non-judgemental.

My personal opinion of sex is that its natural and that its not something dirty or shameful. The sex scenes were pretty tame and there were relatively few scenes. This is an adult book and will obviously deal with adult themes. What culture is it that we live in when sex is considered more of a big deal than... oh I don't know the brutal murders that took place in the book, the themes of persecution etc. Its a messed up world were violence is considered less offensive than sex.

hmm yea.. but then you have to understand that i share this computer and all my actions are being recorded....sorry for the misunderstanding!. and yea it is weird that sex is more of a taboo than violence is... but in the second book... the "s scenes" werent that bad... in my opinion.

It is natural, and all, but I'll still feel uncomfortable around it. Just my way, I guess. *shrug*

you are entitled to you own opinion Im just expressing mine. I just think being open and honest about sex is healthy. Though I would be embarrassed at having to discuss it with my folks. The sex in the stories also usually serve a purpose, to plot or character development so its not just in there for the sake of it (although nothing wrong with that since adults do have sex. Well unless you are asexual). In the second book there wasn't that many sex scenes, I can only remember the one at the start involving Kaiku. It just annoys me when organizations that are powerful like the Catholic church focus their energy and money on issues to do with sex rather than say trying to end wars, poverty, disease etc.

Yeah. Stupid Catholics. *kidding* Don't be offended, all you Catholics out there!
When I read the Kaiku/Asara stuff I was kinda... happy/intrigued. I was like, "Well this is new. ^___^"
But why couldn't there by any Kaiku/Tane sex?!? TT_TT

I don't know why but I never really liked Tane. Though as a priest for an Earth goddess you would have thought he would try to have sex with everything that moved lol As for Kaiku and Asara, I never thought that as a sex thing. I'm happy there wasn't that many asara Kaiku scenes since Asara haters doent need any more ammunition against her lol

That's a hillarius mental image. Tane (with big puppy-dog eyes): Kaiku...? Kaiku: Yes, Tane? Tane: ...Sex? Kaiku: Er... no. *Tane repeats this with everyone and everyting*

I reckon it's 'cause he was shy, he didn't think she was interested.
